FLOW OF LOVE
Source of my longing,
let me release the fullness within me
so that the world becomes whole,
and we all exist as one,
flowing together,
pouring down from the mountains,
across the plains, and
into the salty coolness of ocean,
shapeshifting through many forms,
the eternal dance of life and death,
embracing both
without fear.
Free souls.
Living simply,
with presence of mind
and wholeness of heart.
Occasionally,
there must be spaces of emptiness,
to give us purpose.
Existence without purpose is totally empty,
and I couldn’t abide in total darkness.
We seek a balance with the ether,
as with all things.
I am the moon
and you are the sun.
You are my moon,
And I am your sun.
We nurture one another
We light the way for one another.
While the old
have tended to nurture
and light the way for the young,
Sometimes the young
must nurture and light the way for the old.
This is pure love.
We are eternal with the Universe,
And the universe is vast.
It is ours to fill with love.
So let it be.
Absolutely!
-- Wendy Fachon
This poem is dedicated to my brother-in-law, Edward Straub, who left us when the second tower fell on 9/11, and to my sister, who rode one hell of a roller coaster ride through her grief - shock, disbelief, hope, despair, anger, denial, sadness, loneliness, acceptance, and finally, peace. She now speaks of GLUE - God, Love, Unity, and Education. This poem is also dedicated to Dr. Wilhelm Kalweit (Bill), my brother-in-law who was also lost to us in a plane crash, mid-November 2009. And finally, this poem is for Carolyn Fachon, my mother-in-law, and a grandmother, who passed away December 30, 2009 after a protracted battle with cancer. We never stop appreciating these amazing people for the awesome power of their love and their enduring spirit.
In my mind, the images evoked in this poem express the love found in many relationships - a spouse, a lover, a friend, a daughter, a son, or perhaps love for a passion such as flying an airplane (Bill). It is the combination of all these relationships that make us whole, as an individual, as the collective of humanity, and as all that makes up this wonderful world.
We can choose to fear the pain that is created when we lose someone or something, or we can choose to accept the pain as a consequence of having loved. We can choose to fear dying and leaving behind our loved ones, or we can choose to accept the inevitable circle of life. Certainly, the more deeply we love, the sharper the pain, BUT ALSO the greater our strength as we accept a certain grace that we may not yet understand.

Pass It On
I share from the abundance of God.
What do a sincere compliment, a useful idea and a usable piece of furniture or household item have in common? They are each something of value I can share with others. As I do, I make room in my life for more.
My giving ripples outward. What I give continues to be passed on as a perpetual blessing of love from one person to another. We all participate in the stream of consciousness in which giving and receiving are a way of life. We share in the abundance of God available to every person, everywhere.
"Give, and it will be given to you." These words guide me in living and sharing an abundant life.
See diagram of The Ripple Effect.
