Did you know that two antioxidants found in sunflower seeds help fight cancer and heart disease?
Vitamin E and selenium.  One quarter cup serving of sunflower seeds contains 40 percent of the recommended Daily Value for Vitamin E and 30 percent for selenium.

Furthermore, compounds in sunflower seeds known as phytospherols help lower cholesterol.  Besides this, the seeds are high in protein, fiber, and essential minerals.
